Ossett Flying Horse have stormed into an early lead in the Heavy Woollen League A Section standings. At the other end Taverners already look doomed, perhaps the Batley based side will suffer with playing many of their top players playing in the Spen Valley League team this year. The other relegation spot looks asthough it might be a close run thing come September, with Denby Grange and Overthorpe heavily tipped to be trying to survive the drop. Pete Lambs' Ossett side head the Wakefield League division two table ahead of Ardsley A. Ardsley B and Denby Grange bring up the rear of the table followed by the Royal Mail team at Stanley where Steve Bagwell and Graham Williams and company are finding it hard to get to grips with their new Stanley home after moving from Painthorpe Country Club.
